What are ICL Lenses?
Implantable Collamer Lens (ICL) surgery involves placing a thin, flexible biocompatible lens inside the eye, between the iris and the natural crystalline lens. Unlike laser surgery, ICL does not remove corneal tissue — it works additively, enhancing the eye's natural optics.
ICL is particularly effective for patients with high myopia (up to -20D), thin corneas, or dry eyes who are not suitable LASIK candidates. The lens is removable if needed, offering a reversible vision correction option without altering the cornea permanently.
